Should I continue?

Postby greenyrst » Mon Jun 24, 2013 5:53 am

I have a very dangerous fetish and don't know if I should continue with it?

I love to get kitted out in lot's of motorcycle protective clothing and perform stunts / crashes!!
I have a specific and well planned list of gear I wear or should wear to protect myself. Groin protector (not purchased yet), padded shorts, full body armour with padding on spine, shoulders, chest, arms and elbows , full motorcycle leathers, Motocross boots (not yet purchased), gum shield, full face motorcycle helmet with visor, wrist guards, motorcycle padded and armoured gloves (not yet purchased) and neck brace (not yet purchased).

I put on all of the gear, to then crash on purpose, for fun (only involves myself in secluded spots, not on highways) I have had to substitute mx boots for steel toed boots and gloves have been 2 pairs of industrial gloves 1st leather and 2nd thick rubber over the leather ones. Before I actually crashed I built up slowly. I started out by running and then sliding along on the ground like someone might do to reach a base in base ball, only I did it on tarmac and concrete. Then when I was I bit more confident I took to a bike (only a push bike so far) my goal is to get up to speed (say 25mph) take off from a ramp say a couple of feet high and land on the front wheel being thrown over the bars and landing on my face , chest and knees. I'm a way off this yet!! so far I have rode fast and the jumped off causing me to tumble landing on my knee and continuing over onto my arm shoulder and finally my head. I started slowly and each time I have built up more speed as my faith in the gear built. I have also pulled a wheelie and fell backwards on purpose landing on my back, bum, elbows and head.

The gear has done it's job well with the armour and padding doing it's job in protecting me. I have only been slightly hurt twice 1st time was actually from faulty body armour which has been sorted now and the second time was the last time I went out, about 5 months ago. As I have said I have substituted mx boots for what I have, steel toed boots using 3 layers of thick socks for extra padding. I was always worried that my ankles were vunerable and I was right, luckily they only got bruised and not broken. I have promised myself I wont go out again until I can afford proper boots, gloves and a neck brace. I really want some protection for my groin too!!!! if I ever pluck up the courage to go over the bars I will get hard chest protector to go over leathers too.

My fiancée knows about this fetish and is not very keen (understandably) she came out with me the 1st time I went out on a bike but didn't get out of the car. I have been out a couple of times since without her and I am scared to death incase I get hurt and I can't get help when i'm alone. I wish I could forget about this fetish but I can't. the buzz I get off using the protection for it's intended use really turns me on.
I am not trying to get hurt, I want to feel protected doing something that WITHOUT the gear would almost certainly result in serious injury. The feelings I get when i'm in the gear are intense but when i'm on the bike ready to go it is an equal mix of fear and excitement. I close my visor set off and it's almost a point of no return. then when i'm as fast as I can get and I jump off, it is a point of no return. I have total belief in the protection, I selected it and I know it's designed for far greater speeds if you need it!! the only difference is for me it's there because I DO need it and I DO need it to work.

Should I continue?

Not sure if this is the best place to ask that question. I don't think many of us will be very knowledgable on the subject. The only advise I could give you is: don't do it if it's dangerous, or do do it if it feels good. I suppose you have to decide for yourself which of those is most important to you (and your fiancee).

Thought that would be the answer I might get, sorry for posting it here! There isn't anywhere to get advise as I havn't found anyone who has a fetish like mine.
That is my dilemma. Yes it is dangerous (although I feel I am mitigating the risk by wearing so much protection). and yes it feels good, very good. I have tried to forget about this fetish but find it so hard because the thrill I get when I do it is so great. cheers for the reply anyway. :S

Well, don't take this the wrong way, but how about talking about it with a psychiatrist? Not because there's something wrong with you and you need to have yourself checked out, but simply to have someone to talk to about it. Perhaps one that is specialized in sexuology. That might help you organize your thoughts and figure out for yourself how you really feel about it.

I have thought about it but would prefer to deal with it myself for now. I'm not suicidal or anywhere near just get a huge buzz off doing something dangerous in gear that turns me on.
I apreiciate the advise though, thanks.

Miss Miranda - the Bondage Mistress, from London Hanwell W7 comes to mind, as she had her sports car shown in one of her clips (not driving though), and the bondage stuff and mummification kinda is in the same vein as you kitting in. Also her muscular physique and masculinized touches help with this.

I've been waiting to see other's responses before adding my own. What you like sounds ludicrously dangerous to me but then I'm a touch more cautious than most.

On to question time then - is it the actual crash or the possibility of one that floats your boat? If the former then ignore suggestion one and skip to two.

If you want the chance of a crash and the risk then there are a few options, two are more prominent than others - take up motorcross is the first one that springs to mind, learn the skills to graduate to supercross then go for the extreme stuff. The second is to learn how to take a fall - it's harder than it sounds as you have to relax when your natural instinct is to tense up. Next take every single bike course you can find, regular, track and offroad. Once you've done that you should be eligible for stunt work at which point you can get paid for doing what you love.

Just a few thoughts, I hope they help.

Hi Grim, thanks for the reply.
In answer to your questions it's both and neither I love to crash and I am hugely turned on by the anticipation of a crash!! However the main thing is that I love the feeling of being protected, I love that I am doing something that without all of the gear on would almost certainly result in serious injury, but once geared up I think that I am fairly safe and run a low risk of injury.

I have thought about motocross before but in all honesty i'm not really into the riding of bikes that much and also the cost factor put's it out of my reach.
As for the stuntman work again I have already thought about that but being 34 I think I may be a bit old for a change in career like that and I think it may cause quite a lot of questions by my friends and family. no to mention the costs of all the courses.

I have done a lot of research about how to fall, I started small so that I could build up my confidence in the gear which has enabled me to relax more than I thought I could (I still tense a bit)

Banger racing perhaps? Crashing is, after all, the whole point and without the roll cage, lid and neck brace you're looking at a whole world of hurt. With them it's about as safe as deliberately running one car in to another on a track can be. I have family that used to race and it was epic fun to watch, sometimes upside down. Of course, it's all about the racing, obviously. You don't score points for how many times you roll the car :D

I'm a touch too old for a career change myself and a touch more risk averse nowadays than I used to be. I learnt to fall properly a little too late to avoid significant injury - knees, hip and spine are all shot :( Then again, I still go out at the weekends and get shot at by people (some of whom I know, most not), usually taking a few good hits and losing a little blood in the process and all in the name of fun.
