How to stretch boots?

Post by customaestro »

I bought a pair of really nice microsuede boots but my feet are too wide. The length is all good but the width of the boots is just too narrow. Anyone have any experience doing something similar before?

Are they still new and not broken into yet?

Not too sure about suede as I've got only a pair and just went through the blisters with it for a while...
But here's something from eHow:

"Put on a thick pair of socks, then put on the shoes. Walk around your house with the shoes on for a few days. Don’t wear them all day long around the house. Instead, wear them in short spurts throughout the day.

Moisten a rag with rubbing alcohol if the shoes feel too tight even after a few days of wearing them around the house. Rub the alcohol on the inside of the shoes where they feel uncomfortable.

Put on the thick socks and wear the shoes around the house, again in short spurts throughout the day. The alcohol will help to stretch the leather."
