Was in Worcester a day or two ago and saw an old lady, obviously just having got out of her car and walking with her stick but wearing a pair of yellow marigold rubber gloves.
Kind of puzzled me, left me wondering why she was walking around wearing rubber gloves for no discernible reason. Can anyone shed light on this? Only other time I saw it was in San Francisco when I saw a middle aged - possibly homeless - Asian woman pushing a cart around in a sunhat wearing red household rubber gloves but I chalked that up to her as an odd method of wanting to cover up from the sun or something

Could be the same reason. Old people are always looking for 'household solutions' for common problems, aren't they?
