I understand people are attracted to different things but I can't help but think that what I am attracted to isn't the norm.

Well, it isn't. But why should that be a bad thing? It's inconvenient, sure, but there's really nothing wrong with it. Normal is boring.

Besides, who determines what this 'norm' is? I read somewhere recently that having some sort of kink is actually more common than just liking everything vanilla. 60% of people likes something 'weird' in the bedroom. The difficulty being, of course, that there are so many different kinks that it's still hard to find someone who matches yours. But either way, 'being normal' is much more abnormal than you'd think.

Can I ask your age? I think we've all had these doubts at one point or another, but as you grow older, you generally learn to accept yourself for who you are and to just enjoy your particularities.

I think I feel that way because I see a "fetish" as something that appeals to only a certain group of people. I can definitely see people being into a lot of different things though, and this site and all of its members has definitely made me feel more comfortable about being into gloves. I guess I'm still struggling with the idea of accepting my fetish for being what it is, which is a fetish, and coming to terms with the idea that everyone has something they prefer looking at or having on. Mainstream media and adult films often have people wearing nothing, and that has made it harder too. I guess I'll just learn to accept it as I get older?

As I mentioned earlier. I became aware of my fetish for rubber gloves in the 80s before the www had really started. I felt guilt and felt like I was on my own until years later the web took off properly and I was amazed at how many other people liked the same thing as me. I used to be so ashamed of my fetish growing up, but now at the age of 27 I can proudly say that I love it and I'm not ashamed of that!
