A new trend

Yesterday while I was at Wal-Mart I noticed a lot of cashier's were wearing vinyl gloves. Also I noticed while I was at a local deli the women were wearing black nitrile gloves . They we're wearing them with black pants and black T-shirt. I understand about the deli , but could this be a new trend with the cashier's? I just thought I would make mention of the deli because it looked sexy .
