Mini-chat news

Post by Rommeltje »

Hi all,

I've disabled the mini-chat to see if that's what's making the forum so terribly slow lately. I'll leave it like this for a few days. If the forum stays slow anyway, I'll put it back (since the problem lies somewhere else then), if it gets faster again, I'll have to find another solution, or we may have to do without a chat function (at least until I find a better one).

Please let me know if you notice any improvement or not.

Stay tuned!

So far, it doesn't seem to be working.

In fact, the problems seem to be getting worse. Now the entire lay-out is fucked up.

Fuck...

Internet explorer seems to work a bit better than Firefox. Still too slow though.

I just purged the cache, so we'll see.

It's still completely screwed up in Firefox, though - for me anyway. Does anyone else have that?

Seems to work fine here, even in the last few days I didn't notice any slowdown. I'm running IE9 here.

Working good under Firefox and Chrome.

EDIT:
Anyways, it's better without the mini-chat! :p

O, really? So maybe it was just me (and a few others) then. Yesterday it broke down completely for me. But today it seems to be working fine again.

I'll activate the mini-chat again in a few days, but probably as a separate area, not on the front page.

Why do you say it's better without the chat, GM?

Oh, having the mini chat at the top of the forums is a bit annoying for me! :p
