Smooth posting series: spoilers - hiding keyword tags etc.

Post by SexySurgical »

I recently came w/ a little idea to make an easy spoiler hide that doesn't need any plugin and/or interactive dynamics/scripting.

Spoilers we can use for people who like to not know many specifics of a vid, or the title/performer. A poll I already started a few months ago to get a sense of people's preferences in this matter: viewtopic.php?f=124&t=17171

It goes like this:
  • Make the font size smaller, specifically Tiny w/ the select field that usually says Normal
  • W/ the next button, Font colour, select one of those 2 colors close to white, the slightly yellowish and aqua-blue ones. These colors don't have to much contrast w/ the light grey in our standard team.
  • Put something like this in the line above:

    Code: Select all

    SPOILER (select to read:)
Now people only have to select w/ their mouse to read. Keywords (/titles/performers) will still be found as usual by searching.

You can also change the text to be the exact same color as the background. Just select the text you want to hide, click on the "Font colour" button and give it any color you like. Then change the colour code to e1e1e1 (so ).

If you want to make it more obvious that there is a spoiler to be found, you can put it in a quote by using the "Quote" button, or by adding the tag
before your text (and ending it with the corresponding closing tag, of course).

If you do use the quote box, you'll need to change the text color to EBEADD ()

Would it help to remember that the EBE sequence gives one kinda like ADD?
