Just came across this short film looking for things to watch on my 4K HDR TV. They're using regular black household gloves as space gloves. And rubber boots as well, but with fairly short shafts, so those aren't so great.

I almost wonder if there's a fancy cuff beneath the silver tape
Looking good though for low budget?

There's a difference between amateur and low budget.
They have a behind the scenes video of this movie too. They're a professional film crew (though possibly film students), but they clearly didn't have millions to spend. Effectively making it low budget.

Good points yes. However amateur hobbyists can have talents too.
I was probably inclined to read low quality or low-bro.

this is not a space suit, but a hazmat suit. You can find this type of suit in the Outbreak movie, with Dustin Hoffman and Rene Russo.

Yeah, I figured. But hazmat suits are generally quite a turn-off for me, and this suit wasn't too bad, so I wanted to call it something else. But yeah, I did indeed assume she was in space, which I now see isn't the case at all.

This reminds me of 10 Cloverfield Lane. Mary Elizabeth Winstead makes a hazmat suit with a nice pair of black household gloves. She wears them for a while near the end of the film.

... and it reminds me of the Dr Who story "Robots Of Death" in the 1970s when the "robots" wore silver painted Marigolds ....
You could actually see the Marigold logo on their gloves !!
