Hi
Not an amazing story but I was in Manchester for the last couple of days, Manchester UK as the title suggests.
Anyhow I took a walk and ended up in Chinatown. Went into a Chinese supermarket and of course bought some wonderful long rubber gloves.
Saw marigolds for (apparently £28!!!!) presumably a misprint underneath the item.
Anyway literally all the female staff, and there was quite a lot of a small shop, were wearing marigolds.
Don't know if this was just to do with covid. Sadly our hands did not collide as she didn't pass me the items or bag and I paid contactless so didn't have to pass her money. Oh well.
It was quite a sight though. Never seen so many checkout staff and generally staff all wearing rubber gloves to work in a supermarket. I am sure I have been in that supermarket before and not seen that. Maybe I miss remembered.
