Disney refusing to make new movies and just live actioning all of their classics. And to an extent every Hollywood studio rebooting everything. Not that Disney movies weren't just copied from classic stories in the first place but at one point they made original movies.

Meh, at least this is a different take on one of their old stories. It's not a remake of anything. Compared to most of their live action stuff these days, that's relatively original.
