Satin Glove TV Show goldmines?

Post by BenHur10 »

For satin gloves enthusiasts, have you any specific shows that really just have a lot of satin glove content (or even movies like the Princess Switch 2)? I only have a few that would really qualify, but they do not disappoint.

Bridgerton speaks for itself
Downtown Abbey
Dracula tv show that was cancelled after first season
Once Upon a Time
Batman 1960s

Movies like
The Witches 1990
Princess Switch

Anybody got any other recs? If not totally understand, just keep enjoying Bridgerton haha

Here's a couple of old ones that come to mind:

There was a show in Comedy Central in the mid-to-late 90's called Viva Variety. The female co-host was almost always in satin opera gloves and their dancers (the Swimsuit Squad) were almost always gloved as well. It looks like there is some stuff posted on YouTube, but sadly the show is largely forgotten.

Another show that comes to mind was In Living Color which was a sketch comedy show. For the first several seasons there were dances between commercial breaks and sketches that were in satin gloves the majority of the time, although that seemed to taper off in later seasons.

I'll hopefully think of some others as well...

Dynasty back in the 1980's featured a whole lot of satin gloves, Joan Collins wore them (and short leather gloves) regularly, Sable Colby (Stephanie something or other) wore gloves sometimes too. It was a perk to watching it, it made up for the silly storylines and overacting!
