And is there a criteria for which rubbers you might use for ironing for example?

Reusable nitrile gloves (KCL / Honeywell Camatril 732) and long disposable apron to repaint our coffee table.

Wearing orange and purple long cuff nitrile disposables, and Ansell Super Gloves for heavy duty scrubbing and chemical cleaning.

Okay, this is the first I've heard of wearing away the flocked lining. Do they really become smooth, soft and slick like unlined gloves?

Depends on the brand. I've had lined gloves which became really slick like unlined ones when the lining was worn away. Other brands become slightly sticky. It is then harder to put the gloves on but then the rubber is "sticking" on the skin. I like that. Unfortunetaly a necessary evil to start with cotton lined gloves until they are in a used condition here in Germany. It is very hard to get unlined hhrg in drugstores, the only possibility is to order them via internet...
