On the red carpet at Theater Tuschinski in Amsterdam, where the Videoland series about the life of Patty Brard premiered, actress Eva van de Wijdeven chose an evening glove in a white, thick fabric. It looked graceful, but due to the creasing in the fabric, perhaps a bit messy. The boundary between an evening glove and a rubber household glove is thin in that regard. Especially since the dress is already abundantly pleated, a satin glove would have emphasized the first four letters in 'galant' just a bit more firmly.
Van de Wijdeven's dress was a breath of fresh air on a carpet where mostly unintended odes to the boorish Veerkampjes passed by.
