Well, it finally happened. Someone falsely-reported some of my posts and/or messages and my main account got suspended for "sexual solicitation" when I do nothing of the sort.

Update: my main account has been permanently deactivated. I submitted a long-winded appeal, but I don't believe it's going to do any good. Instagram's mods are convinced that I'm in the wrong.

Instagram is my main means of sharing content outside of YouTube, so I'm pretty damn gutted. In case you'd still like to follow me, my new account is here: https://instagram.com/CarrieKarkus

I've tried submitting an appeal and "disagreeing" with the decision to suspend my main account, and am currently trying to get it reinstated. But given that I had to ask my boyfriend for his mobile number since I don't have one of my own, I'm highly doubtful that I'll be able to get it back. And assuming I DO get my main account back, I will likely be using my backup full-time instead.

Meta in general is a dumpster fire of a company. Their double standards are abysmally stupid. It's ridiculous that they're not letting you follow my new account just because they think I'm a threat when I, in fact, haven't hardly done a thing there lately.

I've seen people get away with sharing gore, child exploitation, and actual porn--people whose profile pics are literally their ass with an anal plug in it and their balls hanging out, and girls in medical gloves sucking someone's dick--and nothing gets done about them. Hell... I've reported guys who have sent me unsolicited photos of their cocks for sexual harassment/solicitation in the past and Instagram rejected my reports as if these cum-cretins did nothing wrong.

That's shite, not sure if it's worth it anymore for you to make a new one, if they can delete it whenever they want to and are already somehow restricting your new profile

I don't see a reason in throwing in the towel just because Instagram's shitty management and some asshole people want to keep me down... especially as I've already made the new account and have lots of followers already. I enjoy doing what I do on IG regardless of what happened. It's the best way for me to promote myself, and until there is an app to rival Instagram, it's the only choice I'm comfortable with... 'cause I ain't touching Twitter. I've hated the site since before Elon bought it.

It might take me a while for me to make up for what I've lost, but I'm not giving up the battle.
