Noob (to Reddit) Question: Is there a way to configure it to display images without having to click on each one (i.e. to reveal it)?

Yes, if you go to your User settings and then to Feed settings, you can turn off the option to "Blur mature images and Media" (and turn on the option for "Show mature (18+) content" if needed).
